No More Ring Trouble
Late last summer I had trouble with my wedding ring leaving a rash on my finger. I couldn’t really figure out what the problem was, and I ended up just not wearing the ring. Later on, Milenka bought me a different ring, which I like very much, that was made from silver rather than gold. It gave me no particular trouble.
A few weeks ago, I went back to wearing my wedding band. By this time, of course, my finger had completely healed (the original rash would give way to a dry skin type area that lasted a couple of months). I don’t know if that was it, or it was the weather, or what exactly, but it’s giving me no trouble again. My best guess from before was that perhaps the heat I was in all the time caused it in the first place and then later on it just needed to fully heal. I really don’t know though, but I’m just glad it’s not an issue now. Hopefully it stays that way. Summer’s just around the corner, so I guess we’ll see.

This happened to my dad recently. He has worn his wedding ring for years with no problem, and suddenly - rash. He went to the dermatologist, and it’s eczema. I have it too - and now my poor little baby too. Heat, more washing of hands can bring it on when water gets trapped under the ring. Lotion can help keep your hands moist.
Just a thought if it starts happening again. The heat of the summer may bring it on again.
