I was looking around for the size of the Andromeda Ascendant (I recalled it being large but I couldn’t remember quite how large) earlier and I ran across a really cool comparison of ship sizes in various sci-fi shows and movies. There are ships listed from star trek, star wars, babylon 5, farscape, andromeda, BG, and others. The really cool thing is that it’s not just a table showing you relative sizes or anything like that, but rather an (or two, actually) image showing each ship in relative size for comparison.
The one thing I noticed that it was missing was Larry Niven’s Ringworld. Although technically not a ship or a base, it would fit in with the rest of the crowd if it weren’t for the fact that it’s 1.6 million km diameter makes it a tad larger than anything else…

That’s an awesome site. It has many more ships than the one I posted and he even bothered to include the Ringworld and a Dyson Sphere. It’s too bad that the drag the ships around thing doesn’t work with Firefox, but oh well.
