I’ve been listening to a lot of metal published by Century Media lately. I picked up discs by God Forbid and Shadows Fall in stores because they were cheap (I had heard music by the latter and was looking to pick up something by them anyways). I also nabbed albums by Diecast and The Haunted from iTunes. To be fair, I think I just love the metal sound in general so I’m not sure how good of a judge I am.
Century Media has a whole slew of artists signed with them and they have a download page with tons of MP3’s by various artists that you can check out. I downloaded a bunch of stuff by different bands and there are a few tracks that have been sticking in my head thus far. On the slightly lighter side is Lacuna Coil’s When A Dead Man Walks and their more energetic Swamped. Also catchy is Tiamat’s Brighter Than The Sun. Although a bit poppy sounding, Sentanced’s Blood And Tears is very catchy as is their not so poppy Dead Moon Rising. There’s more but I’m tired of linking…. 
The only downside is that a lot of the files don’t really have the id3 tags set right. Oh well. It’s a good way to check out different bands regardless. If you’re into metal check some of it out.
