Windows XP SP2 Release
I believe that service pack 2 comes out today, I think. From what I’ve read, it supposed to come out for xp professional and apparently it is already out for the home edition. This is just what I’ve read. What I’ve really seen is that windows update doesn’t let me download it. So I’d dare say it’s not out yet…I did notice that they totally revamped the update site.
On the other hand, I wasn’t really looking to download it just yet. While I’d generally say it’s not a bad idea to update, MS has done some funky things in SP2 that may cause certain programs (AV and firewall for instance) to stop working correctly. I fully plan on seeing what problems arise from everyone else before I install it on any of my computers.
