Guns at the start of Matrix

I was just re-watching the Matrix and I couldn’t help notice something odd (I think) at the start of the movie. It begins with Trinity in a room and a bunch of cops show up. She kills them and a chase then ensues between her and Smith, but back to when the cops first break in: They burst through the closed door into the room where she is and then you hear the clicking of their guns cocking, which is quite traditional in movies/on TV. I don’t know much about them, but doesn’t the modern semi-automatic pistol require no cocking? And even if it did, wouldn’t they do so before they entered the room?

Just a thought.

Subway hipocracy

I was on Subway’s website, and I found this:

SUBWAY® Restaurants does not endorse the diet Jared created and cautions anyone embarking on a weight-loss plan to consult their physician.

It’s funny that they do not endorse Jared’s diet, since he appears on their website and has been in most of the commercials for the last few years.

Subway needs to pull it’s head out of it’s ass and stop deceiving everyone if they want to move past their “mom and pop” stage of only 20k locations.

This would be like Little Caesars saying that they do not endorse Little Caesar’s (the cartoon) endorsement with the words “pizza pizza”…….really…..

Click for cans

Campbells is giving away cans of soup to the needy, but there seems to be an overlaying (or perhaps underlying?) theme of voting for your favorite football team. It seems rather odd to me, but they’re willing to donate up to 5 million cans. Every vote made dontates one can, and you may vote once per day. Stop by every day and vote for your favorite team (or whoever, the football front-end on this is rather pointless).
