Telemarketers

It’s been almost a month now since the Do Not Call Registry was originally supposed to go into effect. It didn’t officially go into effect until a couple of weeks ago, but I beleive most telemarketers stopped calling at the start of the month anyways. We get almost no (perhaps none at all) calls anymore. It’s great. How’s it working for everyone else?

Not as well. I still get at least several a week.

It wasn’t that long ago that you got your phone though. Are you actually on the list yet? You had to register your number before Sep 1 for it to be on the list (to be enforceable) now. Otherwise, it takes effect 3 months after your register.

It’s working for us too…used to be everyday we’d have all these “you’ve won a trip to Disneyland all you have to do is call *insert name here* to claim your prize”
or who ever else had our number…we used to have telemarketers on the answering machine EVERYDAY…now I don’t remember the last time we got one of those calls…….guess it’s working…I had forgotten about it…but only because the calls actually stopped….neat:)
