Geek On The Mountain

I was driving home from class the other day, and I saw a rather odd vehicle.
It was a red dodge truck that was jacked up. In the rear window there were two large red ram head decals and in the middle, in large red print, it said “Redneck.” Odd as this is, this guy is driving around with his 4-ways on. This means he had no turn signals, and not even break lights (I wonder what engineer thought that one up). This was for apparently no reason, because he was driving otherwise normally (slower than me, but only by a few mph). As I passed him, I saw that he was talking on a cell phone (did he even know what was going on?) and fittingly he had a confederate flag for his front plates.

Some people, I tell ya.

This gets me thinking though, and I almost wonder if I should put a giant “Geek” decal in my back window….

It’s been almost a month now since the Do Not Call Registry was originally supposed to go into effect. It didn’t officially go into effect until a couple of weeks ago, but I beleive most telemarketers stopped calling at the start of the month anyways. We get almost no (perhaps none at all) calls anymore. It’s great. How’s it working for everyone else?

Apparently, Milenka did it again last night. She was at Bea’s, trying to transfer pictures from her camera to her computer. She said she played with it for an hour before she got it to work. I asked her if the dock was plugged in, and of course the answer was…

Milenka bought a lamp the other day. She said it was on clearance, so she couldn’t bring it back, and when she said that it wouldn’t work. She thought maybe it just had a bad bulb. I decided to look at it today. I plugged it in and turned on the switch and it worked fine. I showed her and she was happy that it worked after all. With an audible click I turned off the switch and unplugged the light. Milenka’s eyes got wide and she ran across the room and said “There’s a switch on the cord??”

What exactly is it about cats and clean cloths? I was doing some laundry earlier, and I dumped a load of clean cloths on the bed that I had just taken out of the dryer. I left and got another load started, and I came back not 5 minutes later, and Winston had plopped down on top of the cloths. (Of course too, it’s a load of darks..) When I moved him, it took all of 10 seconds to get up and lay back down in the same spot. He wouldn’t quit. Maybe he just likes me? (If I am standing next to the couch, he’ll climb up to the top of it to be by me, if I’m sitting on the couch, he’ll hop on my lap within 2 minutes of my arival, etc….)
